Full First Floor Custom Interior Remodel in Seattle

When Celeste and Mickey approached us, they had a common Seattle homeowner problem: their first floor needed an update. Their kitchen cabinets were outdated, their refrigerator stuck out in the middle of the kitchen, and their laundry room was too small to be practical.

We completed this $105.5K project in 4 months, focusing on their priorities: creating more space and updating the look. We pushed back a wall to make the laundry room two feet larger, relocated the refrigerator into a former closet space (creating a clean, flush look), and moved the kitchen island to create about 2 feet more walking space in the busiest part of the kitchen.

For materials, we used quality throughout. The kitchen features Bellmont cabinets with 4x4 Argile Centura backsplash. We installed Industrial Hex Copper tiles from Merola, beautiful Pharaoh Oak herringbone flooring from Alston's Casablanca Collection, and Bedrosian's Enchante porcelain decorative tiles that bring everything together nicely.

We did face some unexpected challenges. What we thought was a simple wall in the laundry room actually contained six water lines going to the upstairs plumbing. Our team had to carefully move all these lines over two feet and reroute them while maintaining our design plan. In the end, both the clients and our team were extremely happy with the results—a beautiful, functional space that we completed with minimal delays, despite some complex work.
